Terms of use of the VegStyle dating site

Effective from 2 November 2026.

This is an English translation. The binding text is the Czech version (Podmínky užívání).

Only people over 18 may visit and use the dating site.

1. Operator and service

1.1 The VegStyle dating site at vegstyle-app.eu and in the VegStyle mobile app is operated by Dodo reklama s.r.o., company ID 08797307, registered office Vlastina 889/23, 161 00 Prague 6, Czech Republic, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, file 325508 (the “operator”).

1.2 VegStyle is a dating site and community for people who live vegetarian, vegan, flexitarian and similar, and for those who respect this way of life. It offers a profile, search by distance and a member map, private messages, communities by eating style, shared meetups and recommended places.

1.3 Registration and all current features are free. Any paid features will be clearly marked and charged only after your explicit decision. The operator does not guarantee that you will find a partner or friends on the site.

2. Who can be a member

2.1 Only a natural person over 18 can be a member.

2.2 The dating site is intended exclusively for dating between a man and a woman and builds on the traditional idea of family.

2.3 Each member has only one account, registers on their own behalf and gives true and current information. It is forbidden to pretend to be someone else, to create accounts for others or to use another person’s account.

2.4 Members protect their sign-in details themselves. Suspected misuse of an account is reported through the Support page.

3. Registration

3.1 Registration is completed by filling in the form, uploading a photo (art. 4), agreeing to these terms and confirming the e-mail address through the link we send after registration.

3.2 By submitting the registration the member confirms they are 18 and have read the Privacy policy.

4. Profile photos

4.1 Every member has at least one current photo of themselves in the profile, showing their face. The photo is part of registration.

4.2 A member without a photo (for example taken over from the previous version of the site) can sign in and browse the list of people and the map. Other members’ profiles, connection requests, carrots, messages, writing in communities and meetups become available once they add a photo.

4.3 The photo must show the member. Photos of other people, photos of children without the member, nudity, sexually suggestive pictures and photos with contact details are forbidden.

4.4 The last photo cannot be deleted from the profile, only replaced with another one.

5. Rules of behaviour

On VegStyle:

5.1 Respect. Harassment, threats, insults, ridicule and mocking anyone for their diet, beliefs or life choices are forbidden.

5.2 Honesty. Fake profiles, several accounts of one person and defamatory, hateful, extremist, illegal or offensive content are forbidden.

5.3 Sexual content. Pornographic and otherwise inappropriate content and requesting or sending intimate photos are forbidden.

5.4 Commerce. Without the operator’s prior written consent, advertising, offering goods and services, MLM, referral programmes, mass messages and chain messages are forbidden. Asking other members for money is forbidden.

5.5 Privacy. Publishing other people’s personal data without their consent or passing on their contacts is forbidden.

5.6 Technology. Spreading malware, disrupting operation, overloading the service and using bots or mass downloading of content are forbidden.

5.7 The texts of messages, posts, comments and profiles are checked by an automatic filter of offensive words. A text caught by the filter is not sent and the app asks the member to edit it.

6. Connections, carrots, messages and blocks

6.1 You show interest in another member with a carrot or a connection request. Only a limited number of carrots and new conversations can be sent per day; the limits protect members from mass approaches and cannot be bought.

6.2 Members choose whether all members may write to them, or only their connections.

6.3 A member can block anyone. Blocked members do not see each other in the list, on the map, in communities or in messages. A block is also recorded for moderators as a signal to check.

6.4 Inappropriate behaviour, a profile, message, post or comment can be reported to the moderators. The moderator sees only a copy of the reported content, not the whole conversation.

7. Communities and the community cookbook

7.1 Any member can join communities by eating style. A community member with a photo in their profile can write and comment.

7.2 A recipe marked by its author for publication appears in the community cookbook on the public part of the website, with the author’s nickname and without their profile photo. The author can cancel the consent to publication at the recipe at any time.

7.3 The weekly challenge is announced by the operator. The operator decides on the winner; the winner gets only a badge in the app, no material or monetary prize, unless the challenge states otherwise.

8.1 A Date tip contains only public places (restaurants, cafés, shops, markets). Giving addresses of private persons is forbidden.

8.2 A Veggie table is a meetup for 4 to 8 people organised by a member. The meeting place must be public. Only signed-in participants and the organiser see the exact place.

8.3 Members organise meetups at their own responsibility; the operator does not organise or check them and is not responsible for how they go. We recommend arranging first meetings with new people in public places and letting someone close to you know about them.

9. Verified profile

9.1 A member can ask for profile verification: they send a selfie with a given gesture, which the operator compares with the profile photo. After the decision the selfie is deleted and only the verification badge stays at the profile.

9.2 The badge confirms that the member in the photo matches the person in the selfie. It does not confirm their other details or intentions.

10. Members’ content

10.1 The member is responsible for the content they add (profile, photos, messages, posts, comments, places, meetups).

10.2 The member grants the operator a free non-exclusive licence to store and show this content to the extent necessary to run the service, for recipes published in the cookbook also on the public part of the website. The licence ends when the content or account is deleted.

10.3 The operator may hide or remove content that, in its reasonable judgement, breaches these terms or the law.

11. Suspending and closing an account

11.1 If these terms are breached, the operator may suspend the account. A suspended member cannot sign in and other members do not see their profile and content. A suspension can be lifted.

11.2 For a serious or repeated breach of the terms the operator may close the account. The profile, photos, connections and messages are deleted and it will not be possible to register again with the e-mail of the closed account.

11.3 A member can close their account at any time themselves in the Profile (confirmed by password), or ask for closing through the Support page. Closing the account deletes their data according to the Privacy policy.

11.4 The operator usually informs the member about a suspension or closing by e-mail, giving the reason. If the member believes the action was a mistake, they contact us through the Support page.

12. Notifications and e-mails

12.1 The member agrees that the operator sends them service e-mails (e-mail verification, password reset, actions on the account, important changes to the service).

12.2 Members turn e-mails about new messages and phone notifications on and off themselves.

13. Liability

13.1 The service is provided as is and to the extent it is available. The operator is not liable for the behaviour and data of members, for damage caused by their actions, or for loss of data caused by circumstances beyond its control.

13.2 Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount the member paid for paid features in the last 12 months.

14. Personal data protection

The operator processes personal data according to the Privacy policy published on the VegStyle website.

15. Accessibility

The operator tries to make the service accessible to people with disabilities as well, and gradually removes reported barriers.

16. Changes to the terms

The operator may change the terms. It announces significant changes to members by e-mail or in the app at least 14 days in advance. If a member does not agree with a change, they may close their account; by continuing to use the service after the change takes effect, they accept it.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes are decided by Czech courts. A consumer may also use out-of-court dispute resolution at the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz).

18. Contact
